This research comes out of the need to make structural repairs and aesthetic recovery to the building that houses the Historical and Anthropological Museum Maurice van de Maele in Valdivia. The Anwandter House, Historical National Monument since 1981, is one of the three oldest architectural representations built in native wood that is conserved until the present day in the city. The first challenge faced was to determine the chromatic intervention done to its facade under the concept of historical preservation.Esta investigación nace de la necesidad de hacer reparaciones en la estructura y recuperación estética en la casa que alberga el Museo Histórico y Antropológico Maurice van de Maele de Valdivia. La Casa Anwandter es Monumento Histórico Nacional (MH) desde el año 1981, y es una de las tres más antiguas representaciones arquitectónicas construidas en madera nativa, que se conservan hasta hoy en la ciudad. Transformándose en el principal desafío determinar la intervención cromática de sus fachadas bajo el concepto de preservación histórica.
