Nothofagus species (Fagaceae) in the central valley of the seventh Region (Central Chile)

Abstract
The finding of Nothofagus obliqua var. obliqua and N. dombeyi along the banks of Claro River (Chile, 7th Region) (35° 08' 15" to 35° 10' 45 " S - 71° 23' 30" W) when is cuts across the central valley is reported. An account of the associated flora is given and the origin of this new distributional site is discussed. Se da cuenta del hallazgo de Nothofagus obliqua var. obliqua y de N. dombeyi en la ribera del río Claro (35° 08' 15" a 35° 10' 45 " S - 71° 23' 30" W) (Chile, 7a Región), a su paso por la depresión intermedia. Se inventarió la flora acompañante y se discute el origen de esta novedad distribucional.
