| dc.description | A través de la aplicación de concepciones ontoepistemológicas contemporáneas de la cultura mapuche a sus congéneres del S. XVII se buscará dar una explicación a la actitud de aceptación y rechazo a la ceremonia fúnebre cristiana. Se argumenta que existe una continuidad histórica con respecto a los principales fundamentos que definen el ser mapuche y su forma de adquisición de conocimientos, siendo estos los que influyeron en las respuestas indígenas a través de una ritualidad escatológica que expresa una forma particular de sociabilidad. | es-ES |
| dc.description | Through the application of contemporary ontoepistemological notions of the mapuche culture to its congeners in the 17th century we’ll seek to give an explanation to the attitude of acceptance and rejection towards the Christian funerary ceremony. We’ll contend that there is an historical continuity regarding the main fundaments that define being mapuche and its methods of building up knowledge. These aspects influenced the indigenous attitudes which were expressed through an eschatological rituality and a way of sociability. | en-US |
