The aim of this article is to introduce a version of a modern akritic song, generally considered as part of the Greek folkloric tradition, whose argument refers the circumstances of the death of the Byzantine hero Vasilios Digenís Akrites. Certain aspects of the structure and topics of the song are then discussed, on the basis of some comparisons established with the medieval poems and other modern versions of Digenes' death.    El presente artículo tiene como objeto la presentación de un cantarakrítico perteneciente a la llamado Cancionero Popular Neogriego, cuyo argumento es una versión de la muerte del héroe bizantino Vasilios Digenís Akritas. Es a partir de este cantar que se desarrollan a continuación algunos comentarios referidos a sus aspectos estructurales y temáticos, fundados en comparaciones con los poemas medievales y con otros cantares akríticos modernos.
