| dc.description | This article reveals the role of -natural and artificial- water traces in the development of farm landscapes. These water traces -rivers, channels and irrigation ditches- define formal categories and shape a network of hydraulic facilities and uses related to farming. Hence, they become tools suitable for the development of a way of looking at farming landscapes. Like a memory of the ground, these traces bring us closer to the changes in the space structure of scales that make up the territory; and to insights about what changes and what remains in a farm landscape based on the development of productive activities and supplementary occupations. For this purpose, some formal expressions triggered by these occupations in rural areas are reviewed, focusing on areas where there is a convergence of water traces, hydraulic devices and residential activities located in the Province of Rancagua, Chile. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este escrito presenta el estudio del papel de las trazas del agua -naturales y artificiales- en la construcción del paisaje agrícola. Estas trazas hídricas -ríos, canales y acequias-, definen categorías formales y estructuran una red de instalaciones hidráulicas y usos asociados con lo agrícola. Por tal condición, se constituyen en instrumentos propicios para el desarrollo de una lectura de la espacialidad en donde se inserta el paisaje agrícola. Estas trazas a modos de memoria del suelo, nos aproximan a las dinámicas que experimenta la estructura espacial de las escalas que configuran el territorio; y al entendimiento de las permanencias y mutaciones que operan sobre el paisaje agrícola a partir del propio desarrollo de las actividades productivas y de sus ocupaciones complementarias. Para ello, se estudian algunas expresiones formales que desencadenan estas ocupaciones en las áreas rurales, poniendo atención en aquellas zonas en donde es posible identificar una convergencia de trazados de agua, artefactos hidráulicos y actividades residenciales localizadas en el interior de la provincia de Rancagua, Chile. | es-ES |
