| dc.description | Alberto Cruz Covarrubias (Santiago de Chile, 1917-2013), encabezó -junto a un grupo de arquitectos y artistas- la refundación de la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (1952), desarrollando un planteamiento original que se destacó por la concepción poética de Amereida2, la experimental Ciudad Abierta de Ritoque y las Travesías por América. Esta entrevista aborda a una serie de proyectos desarrollados entre 1952 y 1964 por el Instituto de Arquitectura de dicha Escuela, los que no solo destacan por inaugurar un laboratorio de investigación arquitectónica de uno de los grupos más singulares de la arquitectura chilena contemporánea, sino de forma especial por sus lógicas proyectuales, desarrollando una genuina aproximación a la concepción arquitectónica de la luz, los actos litúrgicos y la forma. | es-ES |
| dc.description | Alberto Cruz Covarrubias (Santiago de Chile, 1917-2013) –together with a group of architects and artists– led the reopening of the School of Architecture of Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (1952), developing an original approach towards the conception of the architecture profession, featuring a poetic idea of Amereida (1964), the experimental Open City of Ritoque (1970), and Voyages through America, included in the syllabus since 1980. This interview address several projects developed between 1952 and 1964 by the “Institute of Architecture” of such School, which not only stand out for having inaugurated an architecture research lab formed by one of the most unique groups in contemporary architecture, but also particularly for their project-related rationales which carry out a true approach to the architectural idea of light, liturgical acts and shape. | pt-BR |
