The article is immersed in an analysis of the virtual world taking into account the mind / body dichotomy. In this analysis, problematizations and concepts from various authors are borrowed to support the thesis that the virtual world is the technical expression of the movement of goods and capital, whose key concept is speed. From this concept the concepts of consumption and disposability are understood, at the same time that they are homologated to that of distance cancellation in the virtual worldEl artículo se sumerge en un análisis del mundo virtual tomando en consideración la dicotomía mente/cuerpo. En este análisis se toman prestadas problematizaciones y conceptos de variados autores para sostener la tesis de que el mundo virtual es la expresión técnica de la circulación de mercancías y capital, cuyo concepto clave es el de velocidad. A partir de este concepto se comprenden los conceptos de consumo y desechabilidad, al mismo tiempo que se homologan al de anulación de distancia en el mundo virtual.
