El psicoanálisis es una teoría y una práctica que se desarrolla en diferentes partes del mundo y se encuentra ligada al nombre de su fundador: Sigmund Freud (1856-1939). Desde diferentes contextos geográficos, la figura de Freud ha recibido innumerables homenajes, obituarios y recordatorios. Desde luego, en América Latina también se han realizado múltiples y diversos eventos conmemorativos a lo largo de la existencia del psicoanálisis. En este trabajo, específicamente se recuperan y analizan diversas fuentes documentales que brindan un panorama de la importante presencia de Freud en la historia del psicoanálisis en América Latina.Psychoanalysis is a theory and practice that is developed in different parts of the world and is linked to the name of its founder: Sigmund Freud (1856-1939). From different geographical contexts, the figure of Freud has received innumerable tributes, obituaries and reminders. Of course, in Latin America there have also been multiple and diverse commemorative events throughout the existence of psychoanalysis. In this work, specifically, various documentary sources are retrieved and analysed; they provide an overview of Freud’s important presence in the history of psychoanalysis in Latin America.
