| dc.description | Six sites with adult stands of P. Radiata representing the main soil groups in the VIII Region (soils derived from: granitic rock formed in situ, pleistocene volcanic ash, metamorphic schist rock, sea sediments, holocene volcanic ashes and andesitic-basaltic volcanic sands) were studied. Each site was characterised with respect to climate, chemical and physical properties of the soil, litter and aerial biomass of the forest. The inventory of nutrients (C, N, P, K) of the soil-litter-forest system was evaluated. Tree growth was related to site factors, and those limiting factors were identified in each case. Finally the main management measures for the sustainability of P. radiata plantations in each site were deduced. | en-US |
| dc.description | En el presente trabajo se evalúan seis sitios con rodales adultos de P. radiata que representan los principales grupos de suelos de la VIII Región (suelos derivados de: rocas graníticas formados in situ, esquistos metamórficos, cenizas volcánicas pleistocénicas, sedimentos marinos, cenizas volcánicas jóvenes y arenas volcánicas andesítico-basálticas). Se caracteriza cada sitio considerando el clima, las propiedades físicas y químicas del suelo, el mantillo y la biomasa aérea del vuelo; se evalúa el inventario de elementos nutritivos (C, N, P, K) del sistema suelo-mantillobosque; se relaciona el crecimiento de los árboles con los factores del sitio, y se identifican los factores limitantes para la producción en cada caso. De lo anterior se derivan las principales medidas de manejo para la sustentabilidad del cultivo de P. radiata en cada sitio. | es-ES |
