On December 30, 1997 FONDEF project "Activity Planning Software for roble, raulí, and coigüe second growth forests of the IX and X Region" was launched. The project will last 30 months and its objective is to generate software that will aid in making decisions, with sustainable criterion, in pure or mixed second growth forests of roble, raulí, and coigüe of the IX and X Region. The project is in charge of Forestry Management Institute, Universidad Austral de Chile.El 30 de diciembre de 1997 se dio inicio al proyecto "Software de Planificación de actividades en renovales de roble, raulí y coigüe en la Novena y Décima Regiones", con una duración de 30 meses, que tiene por objeto generar un software para la toma de decisiones bajo criterios de sustentabilidad orientado a bosques puros o mixtos de renovales de roble, raulí y coigüe que se encuentren en la IX y X Regiones, siendo la institución responsable la Universidad Austral de Chile, Instituto de Manejo Forestal.
