| dc.description | Dunes are defined as well delimited ecosystems, with extreme conditions for animal and vegetable life. Due to these characteristics very peculiar flora and fauna which is distributed in the different zones of the littoral psamosere are found. Historical information concerning the problem of the invasion of dunes in Central Chile is discussed. The difference between continental and littoral dunes is established; their distribution and present extension is given. Measures for conservation, management and control of the Chilean littoral dunes are analyzed and discussed in detail, considering the biological, archeological, geomorphological, ecological, touristic, forest and agricultural interests. Lastly, the participants to the Symposium on "The Chilean Dunes as a human, floristic and faunistic habitat" are listed. The text of each of the expositions is included in this volume of Bosque. | en-US |
| dc.description | Se definen las dunas como ecosistemas bien delimitados y con condiciones extremas para la vida animal y vegetal, y por ello, con una fauna y flora muy peculiares, que se distribuyen en las diferentes zonas del psamosere litoral. Se plantean antecedentes históricos sobre el problema del avance de las dunas en Chile Central. Se diferencian dunas continentales y litorales, con su distribución y actual extensión en Chile. Se analizan, detalladamente, las gestiones de conservación, manejo y control actual de las dunas litorales chilenas, teniendo como base intereses biológicos, arqueológicos, geomorfológicos, ecológicos, turísticos, agrícolas y forestales. Por último, se presentan los participantes en el simposio "Las dunas chilenas como habitat humano, florístico y faunístico", con los temas que expusieron, y cuyos textos in extenso se presentan en este volumen de Bosque. | es-ES |
