| dc.description | The aim of this paper is to analyze comparatively the cases of Argentina and Chile regarding the readiness phase of the mechanism to Reduce Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+). The selected study period is between 2008 and 2018. The theoretical approach of Governance is adopted for the present paper. As part of Governance, the concepts of "participation" and "effectiveness" are identified to guide the proposed analysis. Methodologically, it is a comparative case analysis with a qualitative method, using the analysis of documents, files and key reports exchanged by state and non-state relevant actors in climate and forestry matters. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente artículo tiene por objetivo analizar comparativamente los casos de Argentina y Chile respecto a la etapa de preparación del mecanismo de Reducción de Emisiones provenientes de la Deforestación y Degradación Forestal (REDD+) entre 2008 y 2018. Se adopta para el artículo el enfoque teórico de la Gobernanza. Como parte de la gobernanza se identifican los conceptos de “participación” y “eficiencia” los cuales guían el análisis de casos propuesto. Metodológicamente se trata de un análisis de casos comparativo con método cualitativo recurriendo al análisis de documentos, archivos e informes clave intercambiado por los actores estatales y no estatales de relevancia en materia climática y forestal. | es-ES |
