dc.descriptionA case of gluteal lipoma treated at the Department of Surgery of the Hospital Clínico de la Universidad Mayor, Temuco, Chile is presented. The patient, a 42-year-old man, presented with a multilobulated tumor of soft parts located in the left gluteal region. The tumor was painless and was 22 cm in diameter. Complete exeresis of the lesion was performed. This was sent to  histopathological examination, which confirmed the preoperative diagnosis of lipoma. The outcome was favorable, with no morbidity. The tomographic control at the second year of postoperative allowed us to verify the absence of recurrence.en-US
