dc.descriptionLa doctrina del Intelecto Adquirido, elaborada por los árabes en el siglo X, especialmente por Al Farabi, atraviesa la totalidad de las obras de Alberto Magno. Esa doctrina le confiere a su Filosofía Política una fundamentación tanto metafísica, cuanto teológica.En el caso de Alberto, se trata de una corrección del concepto de Intelecto Adquirido elaborado en el siglo X por Al Farabi a partir de la recepción de los textos de Aristóteles –De Anima–. Mientras en Alberto Magno esa recepción se traduce como re-potenciación de la libre actividad del Intelecto, en el caso de Al Farabi esa misma doctrina dio lugar a interpretaciones claramente diferentes como es el caso del modelo de Baruj Espinosa.Alberto Magno ofrece un modelo de Filosofía Política en armonía con la Metafísica y con la Teología Sobrenatural de tono claramente escolástico. Al Farabi por su parte, y aun habiendo elaborado la doctrina del Intelecto Adquirido con anterioridad a Alberto Magno, puede ser considerado en rigor como un proto-moderno.es-ES
dc.descriptionThe doctrine of the Acquired Intellect, developed by the Arabs in the tenth century, especially by Al Farabi, goes through the whole work of Albertus Magnus. That doctrine confers to his Political Philosophy a metaphysic and theological foundation. In the case of Albertus, it is a correction of the concept of the Acquired Intellect developed in the tenth century by Al Farabi from the reception of the texts of Aristotle —De Anima—. Whereas in Albertus Magnus that reception is translated as a re-empowerment of the free activity of intellect, for Al Farabi the same doctrine gave place to clearly different interpretations, as is the case of the model of Baruj Espinosa. Albertus Magnus offers a model of Political Philosophy in harmony with the Metaphysic and the Supernatural Theology with a clear scholastic tone. Al Farabi, in turn, even having developed a doctrine of the Acquired Intellect prior to Albertus Magnus, can be considered strictly as a proto-modern.en-US
