dc.descriptionThe Chilean historical process has played an exceptional role in the events of the center-periphery relationship that took place in Latin America during the fifties and sixties of the twentieth century. The radical governments that preceded the presidency of Jorge Alessandri Rodríguez, implemented a series of industrialist policies that, deliberately or not, meant energetic steps forward in the direction of developmentalism that would later be preached by ECLAC in its collaborative action with the Alliance for Progress promoted by the Democratic government of JF Kennedy.en-US
dc.descriptionEl proceso histórico chileno ha desempeñado un papel excepcional en los eventos del relacionamiento centro-periferia que tuvieron lugar en América Latina durante los años cincuenta y sesenta del siglo XX.  Los gobiernos radicales que precedieron a la presidencia de Jorge Alessandri Rodríguez, implementaron una serie de políticas industrialistas que, de forma deliberada o no, significaron enérgicos pasos adelante en la dirección del desarrollismo que luego iba a ser predicado por CEPAL en su acción colaborativa con la Alianza Para el Progreso promovida por el gobierno demócrata de J.F. Kennedy.es-ES
