dc.descriptionThe present article analyzes the concept of hybrid novel –proposed by Macarena Areco in her doctoral thesis Novel Hybrid Transatlantic– about the book by Jorge Volpi It will not be the earth. The hybrid novel is defined as a type of novel whose best feature is the incorporation into its structure of a juxtaposition of literary subgenres, coming from both popular and canonical culture, such as the police subgenre, the serial, the historical novel, of learning and biographical, among others, also incorporating fea- tures associated with fragmentation, intertextuality and metaliterature. Based on this definition, this work proposes that the novel by the Mexican author corresponds to the characteristics attributed to this type of texts, which makes it possible to dismantle the anchylosed traditional structure of the novel, proposing a new way of develop your writing.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente artículo analiza el concepto de novela híbrida –propuesto por Macarena Areco en su tesis doctoral Novela Híbrida Transatlántica– respecto del libro de Jorge Volpi No será la tierra. La novela híbrida es definida como un tipo de novela cuya mejor característica es la incorporación en su estructura de una yuxtaposición de subgéneros literarios, provenientes tanto de la cultura popular como de la canónica, así como el subgénero policial, el folletín, la novela histórica, de aprendizaje y biográfica, entre otros, incorporando además rasgos asociados a la fragmentación, intertextualidad y a la metaliteratura. A partir de esta definición, este trabajo propone que efectivamente la novela del autor mexicano se corresponde con las características atribuidas a este tipo de textos, lo que permite llevar a cabo una desarticulación de la anquilosada estructura tradicional de la novela, proponiendo una nueva manera de desarrollar su escrituraes-ES
