This article analyzes the implications of the integration strategy of Peronism to the ranks of the Intransigent Radical Civic Union (UCRI), a marginal issue in the investigations regarding this party. With that aim it observes the profiles the integration adopted in the province of Tucumán from the creation of the UCRI (1957) until the federal intervention that displaced it from power (1962). The text characterizes the actors that backed the alluded strategy, the practices that shaped it configured and the tensions that it generated in the party’s structure. The sources include written press, official publications, the party’s documentation, correspondence and oral interviews. The results of the investigation reveal the characteristics that the integration adopted in the provincial space, the diversity of the practices that promoted its launch and the complicated reception of the guidelines defined by the leadership to the lower scales of the party’s organization.El artículo analiza las implicancias de la estrategia de integración del peronismo a las filas de la Unión Cívica Radical Intransigente (UCRI), tema marginal en las investigaciones sobre dicho partido. Con ese fin observa los perfiles que adoptó la integración en la provincia de Tucumán desde la creación de la UCRI (1957) hasta la intervención federal que la desplazó del poder (1962). El texto caracteriza los actores que auspiciaron la referida estrategia, las prácticas que la configuraron y las tensiones que generó en la estructura partidaria. Las fuentes abarcan prensa escrita, publicaciones oficiales, documentación partidaria, correspondencia y entrevistas orales. Los resultados de la investigación revelan las características que adoptó la integración en el espacio provincial, la diversidad de prácticas que promovió su puesta en marcha y la compleja recepción de los lineamientos de las cúpulas en las escalas inferiores de la organización partidaria
