dc.descriptionThe classic historiography presents Brazilian Independence as a singular event, generally isolated from what was happening in the rest of the continent and without reference to the military and political Napoleonic influence. This article has as its main purpose to understand Brazilian emancipation in a much broader context and to demonstrate the ample Napoleonic presence and infl uence within military struggles in the construction of the new State allowing the integration of Brazil into a movement already experience by the rest of the continent.en-US

Este artículo tiene como propósito principal entender la emancipación brasileña en un contexto mucho más amplio y demostrar la amplia presencia e influencia napoleónica en el marco de la lucha militar y de la construcción del Estado nuevo, permitiendo así integrar a Brasil en un movimiento ya conocido en el continente.es-ES
