dc.descriptionThis article shows a document related to the advice given by the Compañía Minera de Cobre to its US workers at the Potrerillos mine, entitled: "Information for Employees. Andes Copper Mining Company, Potrerillos, Chile", dated 1918, which is part of the Company's archives held at The Montana Historical Society Archives. The text is accompanied by a brief historical contextualisation that addresses the social situation of the copper mining companies in Chile, their housing camps and possible interpretations of the document. It is concluded that the document provides accurate information on the living conditions of its inhabitants, and that it reflects the foreigners' view of Chile.  en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo muestra un documento vinculado con los consejos que la Compañía Minera de Cobre hacía a sus trabajadores estadounidenses que trabajaban en la mina Potrerillos, titulado: “Información para los empleados. Andes Copper Mining Company, Potrerillos, Chile”, fechado en 1918 y que forma parte de los archivos de esa Compañía, conservados en  The Montana Historical Society Archives. Se acompaña al texto con una breve contextualización histórica que aborda la situación social de las compañías mineras de cobre en Chile, sus campamentos habitacionales y las interpretaciones posibles del documento. Se concluye que este entrega información precisa de las condiciones de vida de sus habitantes, y que refleja la visión de los extranjeros respecto a Chile.  es-ES
