Abstract
The objective of this article is to analyze the intersections related to race, racism, and the Cuban Revolution during the 1960s. From this investigative perspective, the research questions the alleged disappearance of the racial issue during this period. For the search and discussion of the counterpoints and paradoxes of the research, the literature review, the analysis of historical sources are used; as well as the historical-logical, inductive-deductive and hypothetical-deductive analysis for theoretical inquiry. The research shows that the exchanges on the subject were colored by a complex network of advances, setbacks and tensions inside and outside the Cuban sphere. In addition, the presence of the racial issue is evidenced throughout the 1960s and its projection to later stages. In the same way, the need to deepen in comprehensive and multidisciplinary studies that make visible the importance of these discussions and the impact factor of race, racism and decolonization in the development of contemporary Cuban socialism is evident Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar las intersecciones relacionadas con la raza, el racismo y la Revolución Cubana durante la década de 1960. A partir de esa perspectiva indagatoria la investigación interpela la presunta desaparición del tema racial durante este periodo. Para la búsqueda y discusión de los contrapuntos y paradojas de la investigación se utilizan la revisión de literatura, el análisis de fuentes históricas; así como el análisis histórico-lógico, inductivo-deductivo e hipotético-deductivo para la indagación teórica. La investigación demuestra que los intercambios sobre el tema estuvieron matizados por una red compleja de avances, retrocesos y tensiones a lo interno y lo externo del ámbito cubano. Además se evidencia la presencia del tema racial en toda la década de 1960 y su proyección a etapas posteriores. De igual forma se trasluce la necesidad de profundizar en estudios integrales y multidisciplinarios que visibilicen la importancia de estas discusiones y el factor de impacto de la raza, el racismo y la descolonización en el desarrollo del socialismo cubano contemporáneo
