dc.description	Magazines with a political orientation have become a source for understanding intellectual history, they continent as much the development of certain ideologies as the networks built over time and space. With the enlightened spirit that distinguishes it, the Marxist left found in these publications a means to understand its reality and also to intervene in it. Intellectual intervention exceeded its immediate frameworks of action and projected knowledge about other realities, while accumulating specific knowledge about certain geographic areas. In this work, the place occupied by Latin American societies will be outlined in a recognized magazine of the United States: Monthly Review. This will allow us to understand the main anchor points, debates and authors that circulated through its pages	en-US
dc.description	Las revistas con una orientación política se han convertido en una fuente para comprender la historia intelectual, ellas continente tanto el desarrollo de ciertas ideologías como las redes construidas a lo largo del tiempo y el espacio. Con el espíritu ilustrado que le distingue, la izquierda marxista encontró en dichas publicaciones un medio para comprender su realidad y también para intervenir en ella. La intervención intelectual superaba sus marcos de acción inmediatos y proyectaba un conocimiento sobre otras realidades, al tiempo que acumulaba un saber específico sobre ciertas áreas geográficas. En este trabajo se esbozará de manera panorámica el lugar que ocuparon las sociedades latinoamericanas dentro de una reconocida revista de la izquierda norteamericana: Monthly Review. Ello permitirá comprender los principales puntos de anclaje, debates y autores que circularon por sus páginas	es-ES
