In October of 1989, a year after the plebiscite in Chile that resulted in the non-continuity of Augusto Pinochet as president, the humorous magazine Humanoide emerged in Santiago. Directed by the journalist and humorist Hernán Millas and financed by Sebastián Piñera`s publishing house, the magazine brought together a group of heterogeneous and excellent journalists and cartoonists, several of them of Argentine nationality. Humanoide tried to become a relevant political actor and a satirical publication flagship of the new political era that was opening in Chile but closed in less than a year, after publishing seventeen issues. This paper analyzes that brief ed- itorial experience paying attention to the trajectories of those who made up the editorial team, their connections with the Argentine collaborators and the proposal of the magazine.Keywords: Dictatorship – periodical press- humor- Chile.En octubre de 1989, a un año de celebrado el plebiscito en Chile que dio como resultado la no continuidad de Augusto Pinochet como presidente, surgió en Santiago la revista humorística Humanoide. Dirigida por el periodista y humorista Hernán Millas y financiada por una editorial de Sebastián Piñera, la revista reunía a un grupo de periodistas y dibujantes heterogéneo y de excelencia, varios de ellos, de nacionalidad argentina. Humanoide intentó convertirse en un actor político relevante y en una publicación satírica, insignia de la nueva etapa política que se abría en Chile, sin embargo, cerró en menos de un año, después de publicar diecisiete números. Este trabajo analiza esa breve experiencia editorial, prestando atención a las trayectorias de quienes conformaban el equipo de redacción, sus conexiones con los colaboradores argentinos y la propuesta de la revista.Palabras clave: Dictadura- prensa periódica- humor- Chile.
