dc.descriptionIn this article I analyze critically the representa-tions of hooded women’s bodies during the 2018 feminist protests in Chile. I seek to determine their specificity in relation to two dimensions of the phenomenon associated with political problems from a semiotic-material perspective. On the one hand, I show how identity struggles articulate in the context of these mobilizations considering the ways the forces of the neoliberal government regime seek to delimit the expressions of protest of these bodies through their encapsulation within a grid of intelligibility linked to the hegemonic representation of what social conflict is in Chile. On the other hand, by analyzing visual representations through images generated in the context of these manifestations, I show how hooded women’s bodies emerge as assemblages that articulate the human and the non-human, tracing landscapes of aesthetic-political struggle based on expressions of their sensitive and affective powers, which enable them to become refractory of neoliberal semiotization strategies.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo analiza críticamente las representaciones de los cuerpos encapuchados surgidos durante las protestas feministas del año 2018 en Chile, buscando determinar su especificidad en torno a dos dimensiones vinculadas a una problemática política de base semiótico-material. Por un lado, respecto de cómo se articulan las luchas identitarias dentro del contexto de estas movilizaciones, considerando las formas en que las fuerzas del régimen gubernamental neoliberal buscan delimitar las expresiones de protesta de estos cuerpos encapuchados a partir de su agrupamiento dentro de una grilla de inteligibilidad asociada con la imposición de una representación hegemónica de lo que constituye el conflicto social en Chile. Por otro, respecto de las representaciones visuales, materializadas en torno a imágenes surgidas en el contexto de estas manifestaciones, con el objetivo de mostrar cómo en ellas los cuerpos encapuchados, en tanto ensamblajes que articulan lo humano y lo no humano, trazan paisajes de lucha estético-política a partir de expresiones de sus potencias sensibles y afectivas, volviéndose refractarios a los regímenes de semiotización propios de los dispositivos neoliberales.es-ES
