dc.descriptionThis paper presents the results of the Chilean section of the Iberoamerican Observatory of Television Fiction (OBITEL), which is part of a major comparative study along the years carried out as a join work of ten Iberoamerican countries. The results shown in this paper were obtained from a quantitative study of broadcasted hours considering variables of production, exhibition and format/genre of fiction programmes on the Chilean television in 2006. Those results are the base for an adecuate measurement of the actual stage of development of the industry and for detecting mid/long-term trends that can be object of future analysis or research areas.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo presenta los resultados del capítulo chileno del Observatorio Iberoamericano de la Ficción Televisiva (OBITEL), el cual está integrado a un estudio comparativo mayor de varios años y que es un esfuerzo conjunto de diez países de Iberoamérica. Los resultados que aquí se presentan se obtuvieron de un análisis cuantitativo, considerando variables relativas a la producción, exhibición y formato/género de programas ficcionales difundidos por la televisión abierta chilena el año 2006. Estos resultados son la base para medir y dimensionar adecuadamente el actual desarrollo de la industria nacional, así como para detectar tendencias de mediano y largo plazo que puedan ser objeto de futuros análisis o áreas de investigación.es-ES
