| dc.description | This article provides an interpretation of the social outburst unleashed in October 2019. It is based on the assumption that the social outburst is the result of a series of unresolved tensions that were shaping a real "integral crisis", which has its origin in the impacts brought about by neoliberal modernization and in deficit situations that were maintained and projected in the phase following the transition process. This "integral crisis" has been expressed through structural factors, rooted both in the economic-social and political-institutional spheres. In addition to this, there have been conjunctural events, derived from decisions adopted by the current government that have tended to aggravate the malaise manifested in various sectors of the population. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este artículo se realiza una interpretación del estallido social desencadenado en octubre de 2019. Se parte de la base que el estallido social es el resultado de una serie de tensiones no resueltas que fueron configurando una verdadera “crisis integral”, que tiene su origen en los impactos que trajo consigo la modernización neoliberal y en situaciones deficitarias que se mantuvieron y proyectaron en la fase posterior al proceso de transición. Esta “crisis integral” se ha expresado a través de factores estructurales, arraigados tanto en el plano económico-sociales como en el ámbito político-institucional. A ello se agregan hechos de tipo coyuntural, derivados de decisiones adoptadas por el actual gobierno que tendieron agudizar el malestar manifestado en diversos sectores de la población. | es-ES |
