This article presents “another globalisation” in which the protagonists are individuals said to be off the rails of global flows “up” or “down”. They are international migrants, heirs of the hippie movement, who are connected globally by a network of affections and loyalties. The first part of the text presents the religious behaviour of the New Age and the counter-culture as seen through the social sciences and offers a brief ethnographic exposé of a marriage ceremony held in the space-time of a new civilisation in a town in central Brazil. The various stages of the celebration show how the New Age seekers have opened up to intercultural hybridisation and pacific coexistence with difference. The second part contains a theoretical discussion on the importance of the concept of “other globalizations” for understanding many phenomena occurring on the global scale and how they relate to a re-visited concept of cosmopolitics. The New Age and the counter-culture were marked by their mysticism but also by their political protests in defence of an alternative global agenda. The article terminates with some considerations on the cosmopolitanist spirit of this “other globalisation”, the globalisation of (((love))).El artículo presenta una “otra globalización” protagonizada por individuos que se dicen fuera de los carriles en relación a los flujos globales “desde arriba” o “desde abajo”. Son migrantes transnacionales, herederos del movimiento hippie, que están conectados globalmente por medio de una red de afectos y lealtades. La primera parte del texto presenta la religiosidad de la Nueva Era y de la contracultura según las ciencias sociales y hace una breve exposición etnográfica de una celebración de matrimonio realizada en el espacio-tiempo de una nueva civilización en un pueblo ubicado en el Brasil central. La fiesta, en sus diferentes etapas, presenta la apertura de los buscadores de una Nueva Era a las hibridaciones interculturales y a la convivencia pacífica con la diferencia. En la segunda parte se hace una discusión teórica sobre la importancia del concepto de “otras globalizaciones” para la comprensión de múltiples fenómenos que ocurren en escala global y su relación con una concepción de cosmopolítica revisitada. La Nueva Era y la contracultura son marcadas por su misticismo pero también por sus manifestaciones políticas en la defensa de una agenda global alternativa. Para finalizar, son hechas consideraciones sobre el cosmopolitismo que anima esa “otra globalización”, la globalización del (((amor))).
