The company emerged as a response to the need of students—especially from vulnerable schools—to have easy access to a material of construction for technological projects. For this purpose we designed a constructive mecano-type system we define as open ended, because it uses common bolts and nuts, enabling students to incorporate into their projects a diversity of pieces created by them.It is a system that empowers individual and group creativity, very easy to use, low cost and that allows to build a very simple project or the skeleton of a robot. The basic pieces of this mecano have been produced in wood and plastic, but currently its been done using only wood for its nobility, beauty and sustainability.In the working process in the classroom, students learn to use basic tools to measure, plot, cut, join and drill thus developing various skills; they also design, use drawings and diagrams to communicate, interpret blueprints, and learn how to work in a team. It also allows them to discover their ability to create a system that works and with which, almost naturally they begin to understand how parts relate to a whole object and what is the role and usefulness of a shaft, gear or a pulley.This material and the models constructed from these systems, have been incorporated, to implement the process of teaching-learning and experimentation, in the subjects of science and technology in elementary education, in technical and professional education and in various programs for teacher training.In addition to its role as a school material, the system is attractive to develop family projects or simply for creative play.La empresa surge como respuesta a la necesidad de que los estudiantes -especialmente de colegios vulnerables- tuvieran fácil acceso a un material de construcción de proyectos tecnológicos. Para ello diseñamos un sistema constructivo tipo mecano que definimos como abierto, porque usa pernos y tuercas comunes, permitiendo a los estudiantes incorporar en sus proyectos una diversidad de piezas creadas por ellos. Es un sistema que potencia la creatividad individual y grupal, muy fácil de usar, de bajo costo y que permite construir desde un proyecto muy simple hasta el esqueleto de un robot. Las piezas básicas de este mecano han sido hechas en madera y plástico, pero actualmente se está utilizando solo la madera por su nobleza, belleza y sustentabilidad.En el proceso de trabajo en aula, los estudiantes aprenden a usar herramientas básicas para medir, trazar, cortar, unir y perforar desarrollando así diversas habilidades; también diseñan y representan por medio de dibujos o esquemas, interpretan planos, comunican y aprenden a trabajar en equipo. También les permite descubrir su capacidad de crear un sistema que funciona y con el que, casi sin darse cuenta, comienzan a entender cómo las partes se relacionan con el todo, cuál es la función y utilidad de un eje, un engranaje o una polea.Este material y las maquetas construidas a partir de estos sistemas, han sido incorporados, para implementar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje y experimentación, en las asignaturas de Tecnología y Ciencias en Educación Básica, en la formación técnico-profesional y en diversos programas de capacitación de docentes.Adicionalmente a su función netamente escolar, el material resulta atractivo para desarrollar proyectos en familia o simplemente para jugar creando.
