dc.descriptionThis project aims to study and value the historical icons found in the heritage areas of Valparaíso, specifically in the Playa Ancha sector, taking as an object of analysis the historic iconographic heritage of houses and palaces. From the methodological point of view, this work is based on the analysis of the iconographic systems developed by the Warburg school in Hamburg during the first half of the 20th century, whose main follower was Erwin Panosfky, and other complementary methods from semiotics used by Ronald Barthes or Umberto Eco. This article will focus on a proposed methodology for fieldwork, which considers the merger between these two methods, which will serve as the basis for the analysis of the objects and situations that make up the image, the conventional meaning of the represented and finally the iconological interpretation of the images. It is important to note that knowing and recovering their historical icons is also rescuing an important part of the social, political and economic actions of their inhabitants, their representations and visual identity. en-US
dc.descriptionEste proyecto pretende estudiar y poner en valor los íconos históricos que se encuentran en las zonas patrimoniales de Valparaíso, específicamente en el sector de Playa Ancha, tomando como objeto de análisis la iconografía histórica patrimonial de casas y palacios. Desde el punto de vista metodológico, este trabajo se basa en los análisis de los sistemas iconográficos desarrollados por la escuela de Warburg, en Hamburgo, durante la primera mitad del siglo XX, cuyo principal seguidor fue Erwin Panosfky; y otros métodos complementarios provenientes de la semiótica, utilizados por Ronald Barthes o Umberto Eco. El artículo se concentra en una propuesta para el trabajo de campo, que considera la fusión entre estos dos métodos, la que servirá de base para el análisis de los objetos y situaciones que componen la imagen, el significado convencional de lo representado y, por último, la interpretación iconológica de las imágenes. Es importante señalar que conocer y recuperar los íconos históricos, también es rescatar una parte importante de las actuaciones sociales, políticas y económicas de sus habitantes, sus representaciones e identidad visual. es-ES
