This paper approaches, regarding the decision of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the Artavia Murillo et al vs Costa Rica case, 2012, certain subjects that the International Law of Human Rights is presenting, at the national and international level, due to the evolution it has experienced, from within the Court itself, as well as some of the possible consequences that the region could face in connection with the ruling.El presente trabajo tiene por objeto abordar, a propósito del fallo de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos en el Caso Artavia Murillo y otros vs. Costa Rica, de 2012, ciertos problemas que hoy está presentando del Derecho Internacional de los Derechos Humanos tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, fruto de la evolución que ha sufrido a manos de la misma Corte, así como algunas de las posibles consecuencias que dicho fallo podría tener para nuestra región.
