| dc.description | La transición desde un orden colonial a un sistema republicano en Chile, entre 1800 y 1830, supuso complejos desafíos para el país. Entre ellos, organizar un sistema educacional que garantizara la formación de los nuevos ciudadanos. Sin embargo, los proyectos elaborados en dicho contexto no plantearon cambios revolucionarios, sino que mantuvieron elementos de continuidad con el sistema educativo colonial, en el cual la enseñanza del latín tuvo un lugar clave. A partir de esta constatación, el objetivo de este artículo consiste en analizar los proyectos educacionales formulados en el contexto de la independencia y configuración republicana de Chile, para comprender el rol y la valoración que se le otorgó a la latinidad, en diálogo con las circunstancias históricas y con el propósito patriota de formar una ciudadanía republicana y educar a la elite que la dirigiría.Palabras clave: Latinidad, Estudios Clásicos, Independencia de Chile, República, Educación. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The transition from a colonial order to a republican system in Chile, between 1800 and 1830, posed complex challenges for the country. Among them, organize an educational system that guarantees the training of new citizens. However, the projects developed in this context did not pose revolutionary changes, but rather maintained elements of continuity with the colonial educational system, in which the teaching of Latin had a key place. Based on this finding, the objective of this article is to analyze the educational projects formulated in the context of the independence and republican configuration of Chile, in order to understand the role and valuation that was given to Latinity, in dialogue with the historical circumstances and with the patriotic purpose of forming a republican citizenship and educating the elite that would lead it.Keywords: Latinity, Classical Studies, Chilean Independence, Republic, Education. | en-US |
