This article will analyze on the basis of Chilean and Argentinian newspaper the meeting that took place on board the warship Maryland in Antofagasta Bay on December 8, 1928, between the elect President of the United States Herbert Clark Hoover and the Bolivian delegation led by its Foreign Minister Alberto Palacios.Este artículo busca analizar en base a documentación periodística chilena y argentina la reunión que tuvo lugar a bordo del acorazado Maryland, en la bahía de Antofagasta, el 8 de diciembre de 1929, entre el Presidente Electo de Estados Unidos Hernert Clark Hoover y la delegación boliviana encabezada por el Canciller Alberto Palacios.
