This paper advances a theoretical debate concerning the political representations of the figure of “the victim”, situating the discussion in the context of the feminist activism of the past five years. As part of this analysis, we discuss a variety of authors and themes, such as the place of social suffering within contemporary politics, the victim as part of an affective approach to understanding politics, and the problem of victims as political figures within the feminist movement, along with the controversies that this has sparked. We conclude that careful consideration that acknowledges the dynamism of the figure of the victim is both possible and necessary. Feminist activism has acquired a performative dimension that involves more complex representations of the victim, confirming the inadequacy of a single semantic characterization. This points to empirical challenges in exposing the complexity of this figure within recent political action.Se presenta un debate teórico sobre las formas en que se ha expuesto la figura de “la víctima” en la política para, desde allí, situar la discusión en el activismo feminista de los últimos cinco años. Para este análisis, se discute desde distintos autores en torno a ejes como el lugar del sufrimiento social en la política contemporánea, la víctima desde un giro afectivo para entender la política y, finalmente, el problema de las víctimas como figuras políticas en el movimiento feminista con las controversias que a propósito de ello se han generado. Se concluye que es posible y necesaria una reflexión que aporte dinamismo a la figura de la víctima. El activismo feminista ha demostrado incorporar una dimensión performática que incorpora representaciones más complejas de la víctima, confirmando que no hay una semántica única de ella. Aquello plantea desafíos empíricos para desentrañar la profundidad de esta figura en la acción política reciente.
