| dc.description | La fragilidad se define como un síndrome caracterizado por la disminución de la reserva física y cognitiva que lleva a una mayor vulnerabilidad y a resultados adversos ante un estresor agudo. Nuestra impresión es que este concepto está poco incorporado en nuestra práctica anestesiológica y, por lo tanto, poco considerado a la hora de evaluar al paciente y establecer un plan de manejo anestésico valorando en forma correcta los riesgos asociados. A continuación, presentamos un caso de un evento adverso ocurrido durante la inducción anestésica, cuya causa atribuimos a esta condición. | es-ES |
| dc.description | Frailty is defined as a syndrome characterized by a decreased physical and cognitive reserve that leads to greater vulnerability and adverse outcomes in the face of an acute stressor. Our impression is that this concept is rarely incorporated in our anesthesiologic practice and, therefore, not considered when evaluating the patient and establishing an anesthetic management plan, correctly assessing the associated risks. Here, we present a case of an adverse event that occurred during anesthetic induction, the cause of which we attribute to this condition. | en-US |
