dc.description	One of the procedures more used to represent the ecosystems in maps is through environmental units. This is obtained from the superposition of thematic maps of the different compartments that conform the ecosystems of a territory. As an alternative to that methodology, this work presents a deductive procedure of integration of biophysic variables, under the concept that an ecosystem is a functional unit of the planet of any magnitude that auto-organized in the time and that is structured by alive and not alive elements, bound by a plot of biophysic relations of interdependence. This procedure has been used to classify and to map the ecosystems in the Andean zone of the Region of the Bio Bio, in Chile.	en-US
dc.description	Uno de los procedimientos más utilizados para aproximarse a la representación espacial de los ecosistemas es el que permite la obtención de unidades ambientales, a partir de la superposición de mapas temáticos en los que se recoge la variabilidad espacial de los distintos compartimentos que conforman los ecosistemas de un territorio. Como alternativa a esa metodología, este trabajo presenta un procedimiento deductivo de integración de variables biofísicas, bajo el fundamento de que un ecosistema es una unidad funcional del planeta de cualquier magnitud que se autoorganiza en el tiempo y que está estructurada por elementos vivos y no vivos, ligados por una trama de relaciones biofísicas de interdependencia. Este procedimiento se ha utilizado para clasificar y cartografíar los ecosistemas en la zona andina de la Región del Biobío, en Chile, medio natural que presenta una gran heteorogeneidad espacial.	es-ES
