| dc.description | Urban reshaping is increasingly common in cities. At present, different Latin American port cities are being subject to such interventions. The article explains the role of the coastal border in the rearrangement of downtown Rosario, Argentina. First, a discussion is shared about the concepts of redesign and urban neoliberalism, to then introduce the spatial layout of port cities. Subsequently, the text describes the redesign of downtown Rosario, with findings pointing to the main projects linked with the coastal border and its relevance in the rearrangement of the city’s downtown area. | en-US |
| dc.description | La reestructuración urbana es cada vez más común en las ciudades. En la actualidad, distintas ciudades portuarias latinoamericanas están sometidas a estas intervenciones. El artículo explica el rol que cumple el borde costero en la reestructuración del área central de la ciudad portuaria de Rosario, Argentina. En primer lugar, se presenta una discusión sobre los conceptos de reestructuración y neoliberalismo urbano para luego presentar la disposición espacial de las ciudades portuarias. Después, el texto describe la reestructuración del área central de Rosario y finalmente los resultados apuntan a los principales proyectos vinculados al borde costero y su relevancia en la reestructuración del área central de la ciudad. | es-ES |
