Toda investigación lingüístico-historiográfica supone un cuidadoso trabajo con las fuentes y los materiales de época. Este cuidado no solo debe aplicarse a la recolección de los datos sino muy especialmente a su registro y catalogación. Por eso, la investigación en Hispanagrama, desde un principio, se sostuvo en una base instrumental, el software Zotero, que nos permite recuperar la información en función de un sistema de etiquetas confeccionadas en consonancia con nuestras hipótesis de investigación. Además, el recurso a Zotero nos hizo tomar decisiones metodológicas que contribuyeron al propio diseño de nuestra investigación. De ella se desprende, con apoyo en datos cuantitativos, que Colombia y la segunda mitad del siglo XIX son el país y la época de preponderancia de las publicaciones sobre teoría gramatical. También se desprende cuáles son las potencialidades de este tipo de investigación historiográfica en lo que refiere al tipo de gramática que se publica, a sus autores, a sus destinatarios y al método de enseñanza, entre otros factores decisivos a la hora de describir y analizar la historia de la teoría gramatical.Linguistic-historiographic research involves careful work with sources and materials. This care must be applied not only to the collection of data, but especially to their registration and cataloging. For this reason, Hispanagrama, from the very beginning, used an instrumental base, the Zotero software, which allows us to retrieve the information according to a system of labels made in line with our research hypotheses. In addition, the use of Zotero led us to make methodological choices that contributed to the design of our research. From this research, it emerges, with the support of quantitative data, that Colombia and the second half of the 19th century are the country and the period of preponderance of publications on grammatical theory. This work also shows the potential of this type of historiographical research regarding the kind of grammar that was published, its authors, its recipients and the method of teaching, among other decisive factors that must be included in the description and analysis of the history of grammatical theory.
