In the Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes 46 “the Council, in the light of the Gospel and of human experience” draws attention to the most urgent problems that affect humanity. Using the same methodology, the present study proposes an interdisciplinary elaboration of the anthropological notion of human vulnerability as an ethical-theological category. Along with proposing a transdisciplinary operational definition of the term, it is linked in its resonances with the theological anthropology of K. Rahner and its status as a humanizing category for a renewed moral theology is justified.En la Constitución Pastoral Gaudium et Spes 46 “el Concilio, a la luz del Evangelio y de la experiencia humana” llama la atención sobre los problemas más urgentes que afectan al género humano. Empleando la misma metodología, este estudio propone una elaboración interdisciplinar de la noción antropológica de vulnerabilidad humana como categoría ético-teológica. Junto con proponer una definición operacional transdisciplinar de dicha categoría, se vincula en sus resonancias con la antropología teológica de K. Rahner y se justifica su estatus de categoría humanizadora para una teología moral renovada.
