dc.descriptionEn este artículo se analiza el diseño presupuestal de la política de prevención del delito en México, específicamente del subsidio federal conocido como Programa Nacional de Prevención del Delito (PRONAPRED). Tomando como estudio de caso el municipio de Chilpancingo, Guerrero, y mediante la conducción de un análisis documental de la información programática y presupuestal de dicho subsidio, se identifica el grado de inversión y alcance de la política de prevención del delito, a través de categorías analíticas en materia de seguridad ciudadana, como el nivel de intervención, el enfoque de prevención, el tipo de acción o el factor de riesgo atendido. Los resultados revelan disparidades presupuestales temporales y conceptuales, encontrando que la mayoría de los recursos fueron destinados a acciones no focalizadas, con poco potencial preventivo y con efectos difíciles de medir.es-ES
dc.descriptionThis paper analyzes the budget design of crime prevention policy in Mexico, specifically the federal fund known as the National Crime Prevention Program (PRONAPRED). Taking the municipality of Chilpancingo in the state of Guerrero as a case of study, and by conducting a documentary analysis of planning and budgetary information of such federal fund, this research identifies the level of investment and scope of crime prevention policy, through the examination of analytical categories about citizen security, such as the level of intervention, the prevention approach, the type of action or the risk factor addressed. The results reveal temporal and conceptual budget disparities, finding that most of the resources were allocated to dispersed actions, with low preventive potential and with effects that are difficult to measure.en-US
