| dc.description | El propósito de este trabajo consistiría en analizar la pertinencia del concepto del mal de cara a los intentos por explicar y justificar su incidencia concreta. Específicamente, se trataría de denotar las dificultades que enfrenta la definición del mal a partir de su emergencia imprevisible y heterogénea. El camino que se plantea recorrer estaría inicialmente atravesado por un breve recuento sobre algunos de los autores que discuten el problema del mal en la actualidad. Posteriormente se analizarían los casos concretos del terremoto de Lisboa en el siglo XVIII y de Auschwitz en el XX, bajo la intención de ejemplificar el carácter histórico y relativo del mal. Finalmente, se confrontarían las posturas del filósofo Phillip Cole y del crítico literario Terry Eagleton, con vistas a repensar la aproximación al concepto del mal. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The purpose of this work is to analyze the relevance of the concept of evil, regarding the efforts to explain and justify its concrete emergence. More precisely, this is an attempt to show the difficulties that the definition of evil face considering its unpredictable and heterogeneous emergence. Initially, the path intended to cover would depict the problem of evil as seen by a list of contemporary authors. Subsequently, there would be an analysis about the Lisbon earthquake in the eighteenth century and Auschwitz in the twenty, as concrete cases that exhibit the historical and relative character of evil. Finally, there would be a comparison between the philosopher Philip Cole and the literary critic Terry Eagleton, in order to rethink our approach to the concept of evil. | en-US |
