dc.descriptionIn order to understand the importance and pertinence of Eduardo Milán's poetic work, this article aims at understanding his whole oeuvre using as a starting point one of his most relevant texts: "Homenaje al lenguaje" (Homage to language), the last poem in his book Razón de amor y acto de fe (2001). This poem will help us analysing both the procedures used, and the questions addressed, by the Uruguayan poet throughout his more than 45 years of writing. Difficulties concerning representation will be the main motif used in order to question the complex relationship between the poem, the world, the social role of the writer, and the relationships with power and its consequences.en-US
dc.descriptionPara tratar de comprender el alcance y la relevancia del trabajo poético de Eduardo Milán, en las páginas siguientes se propone una aproximación a su obra desde uno de sus textos más emblemáticos, el último poema de Razón de amor y acto de fe (2001), titulado "Homenaje al lenguaje" . Este texto nos servirá para explicar los procedimientos y problemáticas abordadas por el poeta uruguayo en sus más de cuarenta y cinco años de escritura. Las dificultades asociadas a la representación serán el principal motivo desde el cual problematizar la compleja relación que mantiene el poema con el mundo, el papel social del escritor o los ví­nculos u oposiciones en torno a los estamentos de poder y sus consecuencias.    es-ES
