| dc.description | This paper reviews the literature on metalinguistic reflection (MR) in mother tongue linked to writing, considering linguistic and discursive aspects of morphological, syntactic, pragmatic character and those related to the construction of discursive genres, in empirical research of the period 2009-2019, developed in educational contexts. Empirical knowledge about RM is fragmented, in part, by the different denominations of this phenomenon in the literature. The results of the research that refer to the MR phenomenon under different terms are systematized to theoretically and methodologically nourish the field of educational linguistics and advance the conceptualization of MR. Six themes emerged from the analysis of the 30 studies found: characterization of student MR, teachers' conceptions of MR; the impact of metalinguistic interactions; teachers' knowledge for the development of MR; the importance of a common metalanguage, and relations between MR and writing quality. This review highlights that conscious reflection on language makes it possible to explicitly address the rhetorical demands of writing and connect linguistic resources with effects, making it possible to improve the writing process and the quality of texts, making their development very relevant in educational contexts. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este trabajo se revisa la literatura sobre la reflexión metalingüística (RM) en lengua materna vinculada a la escritura, considerando aspectos lingí¼ísticos y discursivos de carácter morfológico, sintáctico, semántico, pragmático y aquellos relacionados con la construcción de los géneros discursivos, en investigaciones empíricas del periodo 2009-2019, desarrolladas en contextos educativos. El conocimiento empírico sobre RM se encuentra fragmentado, en parte, por las diferentes denominaciones sobre este fenómeno en la literatura. Se sistematizan los resultados de las investigaciones que se refieren al fenómeno de la RM con diferentes nombres para nutrir teórica y metodológicamente el campo de la lingüística educacional y avanzar en la conceptualización de la RM. Seis temas emergieron del análisis de los 30 estudios encontrados: caracterización de la RM de los estudiantes, concepciones de los docentes sobre la RM; impacto de las interacciones metalingüísticas; conocimientos de los docentes para el desarrollo de la RM; importancia de un metalenguaje compartido y asociaciones entre RM y calidad de la escritura. A través de esta revisión, se evidencia que la reflexión consciente sobre la lengua permite atender explícitamente a las demandas retóricas de los escritos y conectar los recursos lingí¼ísticos con los efectos, lo que posibilita mejorar, no solo el proceso de escritura, sino también la calidad de los textos, por lo que su desarrollo resulta muy relevante en contextos educativos. | es-ES |
