| dc.description | Ciro Alegria's narrative is considered by the critics as one of the pillars to understand the process of the phenomenon of Indigenism in Peru and Latin America. Diverse authors point out that his novel El mundo es ancho y ajeno (1941) is part of the literary canon mainly because of the tensions that it is possible to capture in the text, probably one of the characteristics of the indigenist novel will be to reveal the social and cultural problem that existed in Peru. The community of Rumi in Alegría's novel represents a collective space where the subjects involved give us a perspective of the man who lives culturally uprooted by another, be it the mestizo or the creole, so that we can find social, cultural and ideological conflicts. On the other hand, within this same space and thanks to the voices that the novel shows us, we can find mythical and ideological values that symbolize the tradition and spirit of indigenous man. To understand this conception we will use two theoretical notions: The concept of chronotope of Mijael Bajtin, this to recreate the space-time in Alegria's novel since it is here where its relationship with "reality" and the ideological position of the subjects is determined and, we will also use the notion of symbol-sign of Julia Kristeva, because we consider that it is possible to find a "mythical ambiguity" in the novel. | en-US |
| dc.description | La narrativa de Ciro Alegría es considerada por la crítica como uno de los pilares para entender el proceso del fenómeno del Indigenismo en el Perú y Latinoamérica. Diversos autores señalan que su novela El mundo es ancho y ajeno (1941) forma parte del canon literario principalmente por las tensiones que se logra plasmar en el texto, probablemente una de las características de la novela indigenista será el revelar la problemática social y cultural que existía en el Perú. La comunidad de Rumi en la novela de Alegría representa un espacio colectivo donde los sujetos integrantes nos dan una perspectiva del hombre que vive culturalmente desarraigado por otra, sea la mestiza o la criolla, de modo que podemos encontrar conflictos sociales, culturales e ideológicos. Por otro lado, dentro de este mismo espacio y gracias a las voces que nos muestra la novela, podemos encontrar valores míticos e ideológicos que simbolizan la tradición y espíritu del hombre indígena. Para entender esta concepción utilizaremos dos nociones teóricas: El concepto de cronotopo de Mijael Bajtin, esto para recrear el espacio-tiempo en la novela de Alegría ya que es aquí donde se determina su relación con la "realidad" y la postura ideológica de los sujetos y, también utilizaremos la noción de símbolo- signo de Julia Kristeva, porque consideramos que es posible encontrar una "ambigí¼edad mítica" en la novela. | es-ES |
