The purpose of this work is to answer the following question: ¿why is it asserted that the competitiveness of a country is a function of the capacity of its sectors to innovate scientifically and technologically? In this way, it is necessary to address successful experiences, for which we will confine ourselves to the topic of "Science and Technology" and focus our attention in "South Korea", addressing the period between 1960 and 2020. The objective is to know the importance of sustaining and promoting long-term programs in the areas of education or technological development and to analyze whether the Korean industrialization model is exportable.  El presente trabajo tiene por finalidad responder a la siguiente interrogante: ¿por qué se asevera que la competitividad de un país está en la función de la capacidad de sus sectores para innovar científica y tecnológicamente? De esta forma, se hace necesario abordar experiencias exitosas, para lo cual nos circunscribiremos al tema de “Ciencia y Tecnología” y enfocaremos nuestra atención en “Corea del Sur”, abordando el periodo comprendido entre 1960 y 2020. El objetivo es conocer la importancia de sostener e impulsar programas de largo plazo en áreas de la educación y/o del desarrollo tecnológico y analizar si el modelo de industrialización de Corea del Sur es exportable.
