From the examination of the sacramental books and other annotations relative to "fabrica", "visitas" and activities, in general, of the two existing curatos in the atacameña region during the Spanish administration - Atacama la Alta or la Grande (San Pedro) and Atacama la Baja or la Chica (Chiuchiu) - the names of the diverse priests that carried out their pastoral in these curatoa can be obtained, although, in most of the cases, we have not been able to reach a wider knowledge about their respective performances and personalities. This is the main objective of the research, to recognize the relationship between the priestly exercise and the place in which they exercised their work.Del examen de los libros sacramentales y dem{as anotaciones relativas a "fabrica", "visitas" y actividades, en general, de los dos curatos existentes en la region atacameña durante la administracion española - Atacama la Alta o la Grande (San Pedro) y Atacama la Baja o la Chica (Chiuchiu) - pueden obtenerse los nombres de los diversos sacerdotes que desempeñaron su pastoral en dichos curatoa, aunque, en la mayoria de los casos, no hayamos podido alcanzar un conocimiento mas amplio acerca de sus respectivas actuaciones y personalidades. Este es el principal objetivo de la investigacion, reconocer la relacion entre el ejercicio sacerdotal y con el lugar en el cual ejercian su trabajo.
