| dc.description | This paper presents a map of Northern Chile, scale 1: 1.000.000 showing the geological units which determine the existence of underground water in the Pampa del Tamarugal (Province of Tarapacá). The author analyses, at the same time difíerent íactors playing a role in the runoff, storage, and discharge of waters in the whole Province oí Tarapacá. In addition, a map (scale 1: 100.000) of a sector of the Pampa del Tamarugal, known as Pampa de Huara, is analysed, because in this particular area ancient agricultural íields have been discovered. Such íields can be reused by means oí the intensive application oí underground water, present in the area. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este trabajo presenta la cartografía a escala 1: 1.000.000 de las unidades geológicas que condicionan la existencia de aguas subterráneas en la Pampa del Tamarugal, y analiza someramente los factores que condicionan su escurrimiento, almacenamiento y desagüe, en la Provincia de Tarapacá. Presenta, a continuación, la cartografía hidrogeológica a escala 1: 100.000 de un sector de la Pampa del Tamarugal, denominado Pampa de Huara, en el que se han encontrado antiguos campos de cultivos, susceptibles de ser reutilizados mediante el uso intensivo del agua subterránea presente en el sector. | es-ES |
