| dc.description | By means of the information gathered through the study of the population censuses of the years 1862; 1876; 1895; 1907; 1920; 1930; 1940; 1940; 1952; 1960 and 1970, the trend followed by the decrease in the number of inhabitants belonging to the hydrographic basins of the Aroma and Tarapacá ravines (1st Region, Chile) was analyzed. With the use of statistical techniques, including Analysis of Variance and Regression Analysis, three well-defined periods, different from each other, were found to exist for the period of time studied. The behavior of the population, in terms of its decrease according to different altitude strata, showed statistically three different groups, among which it was striking that the strata corresponding to the altitude between 2,500 - 3,000 m. and 3,000 - 3,500 m. were the most affected by depopulation. | en-US |
| dc.description | Mediante la información recopilada a través del estudio de los censos de población de los años 1862; 1876; 1895; 1907; 1920; 1930; 1940; 1952; 1960 y 1970, se analizó la tendencia que siguió el descenso del número de habitantes pertenecientes a las hoyas hidrográficas de las quebradas de Aroma y Tarapacá (1 Región, Chile). Con el empleo de técnicas estadísticas entre las que se contaban el Análisis de Varianza y el Análisis de Regresión, se constató la existencia de tres épocas bien definidas, diferentes entre sí, para el período de tiempo estudiado. El comportamiento de la población, en cuanto a su disminuci6n según diversos estratos de altura, evidenció estadísticamente tres grupos diferentes, entre los cuales llam6 la atención que los estratos correspondientes a la altura entre los 2.500 - 3.000 m. y 3.000 - 3.500 m. fuesen los más afectados por el despoblamiento. | es-ES |
