| dc.description | This study analyses cavernous weathering forms such as taffonis, alveolar cavities, and honeycombes, in two sectors on the Central Chilean coast, 32030'-32050'S (Northern Sector) and 33021'-33036'S (Scuthern Sector). A relationship between these cavernous weathering forms and the altitude about sea level has been established. In-situ structure has been identified as having a major influence on the development of these forms, with salt-weathering being seen as a significant weathering mecanismo. | en-US |
