The main actual processes are re/ated to the development of linear erosion and reactivation of stabilized dunes by the wind.En un estudio sobre la evolución actUal del sector litoral Tunquén-SantoDomingo (33°16'-33°38 'S) en Chile Central, se exponen los principales tipos de respuesta del medio natural frente a la interferencia antrópica, en un ambiente frágil dadas las condiciones morfoclimáticas actuales y pasadas. Se distinguen áreas sensibles, las que corresponden a unidades geomorfológicas constituidas por rasas y por varias generaciones dunarias, sobre las cuales se realizan actividades humanas de índole variada. Los principales procesos actuales se relacionan con el desarrollo de escurrimiento lineal elemental y la removilización de dunas por el viento.
