| dc.description | During the colonization of Osorno and Llanquihue, the river and lake waterways became the only means of framing the economic production of these territories, so that the population centers and territorial relations were organized according to these communication routes. The construction of the southern railroad modified this incipient territorial system. | dc.description | Durante la colonización de Osorno y Llanquihue las vía fluviales y lacustres se constituyeron en la única posibilidad de transporte de la producción económica de estos territorios. por lo que los centros poblados y las relaciones territoriales se ordenaron en función de estas vías de comunicación. Su construcción del ferrocarril del sur modificó este incipiente sistema territorial. Si bien consolidó las ciudades localizadas donde este se trazó, también motivó el surgimiento y desarrollo de centros poblados en función de sus estaciones rurales, en principio destinadas a servir las necesidades del ferrocarril y el interés de los campos circundantes, provocando la decadencia de aquellos poblados vinculados a las vÍas fluviales y lacustres. | es-ES |
