Tourist activity may represent an unexploited resource; however, it is necessary to plan the space by means of methods that allow the identification, location and evaluation of all the attractions and infrastructure that are part of the tourist heritage of a given area. Thus, in the search for methodologies that can be used in our country, uniform criteria must be established to record the information and evaluate the attractions and infrastructure in an objective and clear manner. This is one of the goals of the research project financed by Fondecyt (Project No. 1951220), whose methodological proposal is presented below as one of the important results within the framework of the project.La actividad turística puede representar un recurso no explotado; sin embargo es preciso planificar el espacio por medio de métodos que permitan la identificación, localización y evaluación de todos los atractivos e infraestructura que formen parte del patrimonio turístico de una determinada zona. Es así que en la búsqueda de metodologías que puedan ser utilizadas en nuestro país se deben establecer criterios uniformes que permitan registrar la información y evaluar los atractivos e infraestructura, en forma objetiva y clara. Esta es una de las metas u lograr del proyecto de investigación financiado por Fondecyt,(Proyecto N" 1951220), cuya propuesta metodológica se presenta a continuación como uno de los resultados importantes dentro del marco del proyecto.
